A fun day, walking with an Italian and two Germans. We shared camino songs and camino stories.

The day started well with meeting an itinerant jeweller - Manuel - who makes little distinct pieces of steel pilgrim jewellery and then sells it around different cafes and taverns. He is a bit of a legend - aged 84 - and charming to boot.
The church of Santa Mariña de Carracedo in Gorgullon was well worth a stop. So many pilgrims in the churchyard!
Then a gradual wander through some of the nicest scenery in Galicia. Lots of paths through woodland

The track led into Pontesecures and then the last few miles into Padron. There in the esplanade stopped for a beer and then hit the apartment next to the church of Santiago in the centre. Only comedy moment today was leaving the apartment for a bit and then coming back and reckoning that the key wouldn't let me in. Would have helped if I had been in the right street...
Dinner was in a super tapas restaurant with a bunch of German pilgrims who kindly swapped into English for most of the meal. Such nice people and impressively good language skills.
