Last day of this walk. I had thought about crossing into Spain but, having met a German pilgrim heading south, I decided against it. Galicia has strict mask-wearing rules, even when outside, which is, as we now all know, the definition of insanity.
But this was a great last day. Back on the coast. Some crazy art work on the beach:
A rather strange pilgrim with a trolley - I think he was living in this chapel of San Isidoro outside Pardinheiros.
A view of the Galician mountains in the distance
Boulders a bit like the ones at Oamaru in New Zealand
And into Caminha. Music playing and singing all the way - well at least until it got a bit embarrassing with people around. Loved the sign at this sports shop in the town centre.
Caminha is another nice town. Ate in a rather rough looking place - Restaurant Chafariz - in the market square but again the food was ok. Two churches in the town. The first is the usual baroque'd to death OTT affair in the town centre.
But down a little road there is the gorgeous main church of Caminha which was Romanesque and unspoilt.
So, one last look across the water at Galicia and then it was time to catch the train back to Porto. But first I checked out the Ferry port - to quote Arnie, "I'll be back" to complete the walk up the coast to Santiago.
This camino is not yet over...
